Yücelen
Group was established in 1962 by Hamdi Yücel Gürsoy (CEO).
The group entered into tourism sector with Yücel Tourism Corp
in 1989. In the meantime Hamdi Yücel Gürsoy and the world
famous award-winning architecture Nail Çakırhan had been friends.
Hamdi Gürsoy, built its first hotel in Akyaka with the Çakırhan
architectural style. Rather than building up a big complex
he prefered a small and luxurios hotel which is totally melted
in the beautiful nature of Akyaka. He also renovated the surrounding
houses.
In 1990s,
his son Erdinç and his daugther Özlem, after their graduation
from university -mechanical engineeering and business administration
respectively - joined to Yücelen Group. Working together in
harmony, Gürsoy family expand their field of activities in their
home town Muğla. In 1996, they established the first private
hospital Yücelen Hospital in Muğla region. In 998 they opened
their second hospital in Bodrum which then they sold to a German
hospital group. They opened their second hotel in Muğla city
Today, Yücelen Group is building 70 new houses in Muğla region
and employs 400 people. While focusing and developing within
Muğla region, the group has also promoted its name outside Turkey.
